Bruce Gleeson RITF

Bruce is a Principal at Jones Partners, and has over 25 years experience in corporate insolvency and bankruptcy.

Bruce regularly acts for creditors in enforcing recovery actions and has had extensive experience in public examination and recovery of concealed assets. He has also held roles in commerce with several Top 100 Companies. Bruce is frequently appointed as Trustee under Section 66G of the NSW Conveyancing Act, 1919 to realise commercial and residential properties. In 2009 Bruce was appointed Voluntary Administrator to one of the largest residential home builders in NSW; Wincrest Homes Pty Ltd - the external administration of which resulted in an arrangement put in place with its creditors whereby it remains successfully trading today. Bruce continues to be regularly appointed to residential building companies in financial distress.

Irrespective of the nature of the insolvency, restructuring or bankruptcy matter, Bruce believes that effective communication with all parties including business owners, employees, creditors and other stakeholders not only reduces anxiety levels for those concerned, but also enables financial hardship to be appropriately dealt with, as well as enhancing the possibility of recovery for creditors.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (University of Western Sydney) and has also completed a Diploma of Financial Planning (FPA).

Bruce is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand ('CAANZ') and was the Chairman on the NSW State Council of CAANZ from 2007 to 2011. He is former Junior Vice President of the Western Sydney Business Connection and a previous Board member of the Company Auditors and Liquidators Disciplinary Board. Bruce is a Registered Liquidator, Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Justice of the Peace.

For ARITA, Bruce is Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) and sits on both the NSW/ACT Division Committee and the Small Medium Practice (SMP) Committee.

Bruce is an ARITA Fellow and joined the Board in 2019.
