Rachel Burdett RITF - President

Rachel is a Partner of Cor Cordis, a national business advisory firm.

Rachel's career commenced in insolvency in 1988 and since that time she has held various restructuring and risk management roles in chartered accounting firms and the banking industry.

While working in the banking industry, Rachel's primary focus was on the management of distressed and non-performing loans across a wide range of industries throughout Australia and leading various risk functions. She also held responsibilities and led teams as national credit risk leader and relief chief risk officer. Rachel became a registered Liquidator in 2010.

In practice, Rachel has acted as receiver, administrator, deed administrator and liquidator, as well as an advisor to companies and directors needing stabilisation, solvency, restructuring advice and strategic guidance.

Rachel is the foundation partner of the Cor Cordis Women's Forum and the immediate past President of Southern Peninsula Community Centre, on which she served for 5 years and remains a volunteer. She is a member of WIRV and AICD and also a member of ASIC Insolvency Practitioners Liaison Committee for Victoria.

Rachel has written and supported presentations for ARITA education programs. She is a member of the ARITA Vic/Tas Committee and a former Chair of that committee. Rachel is an ARITA Fellow, appointed to the Board in 2019, a Vice President in 2020, Deputy President in 2021 and now the current President in 2023. Her board duties include sitting on the sub-committee for ASIC and AFSA liaison and is chair of the Balanced Taskforce (for DE&I).
