Creditors' meetings
Organising, convening and holding effective creditors’ meetings are important skills for an insolvency professional.
This course provides a working knowledge of the different types of creditors’ meetings in corporate insolvency.
Learning objectives
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Recognise when meetings are held in different types of external administrations.
- Apply timeframes for notices and advertisements for the different meetings.
- Choose when an alternative method to a creditors' meeting could be used.
- Identify and explain quorum and adjournment rules and implement them in practice.
- Understand the voting process and determine the outcome of voting on resolutions.

Prerequisites
We recommend you complete the Introduction to Insolvency Program, or have one year of on-the-job experience prior to attending this course.
