The Third Edition of the ARITA Code of Professional Practice (ARITA Code), developed as the standard for professional conduct in the insolvency profession, came into effect on 1 January 2014. Section 6.6 of the Code and the DIRRI Template in Chapter 22 were updated with application to all appointments commencing after 18 August 2014. The most current version of the Code can be downloaded in pdf. Members should ensure that they check for any FAQs relating to the 3rd edition of the Code.
The primary purposes of ARITA Code are to:
- educate ARITA members as to their professional responsibilities; and
- provide a reference for stakeholders against which they can gauge the conduct of practitioners.
Members should be guided, not merely by the specific terms, but by the spirit of this Code.
You can also download the Explanatory Memorandum that outlines the key changes in the 3rd Edition. Any questions about the ARITA Code can be directed to SpecialistTeam@arita.com.au.
ARITA Members can access Word versions of templates here (you must be logged in as a Member to access these templates).
