General Enrolment and Cancellation Policy for Education Programs

Courses delivered online via the Electronic classroom:
Each registration for courses offered via electronic classrooms are for single viewer users only. Exhibition of this training to groups is strictly prohibited and in violation of our terms of service.

Substitution

  • If, after booking an education program you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place. If there is differential pricing for members and non-members in relation to that particular education program, the applicable pricing will apply to the substitute attendee and an invoice will be rendered any difference in cost.

  • Please advise substitutions in writing prior to the commencement of the education program.

  • These guidelines do not apply to registrations in the ARITA Advanced Certification.

Transferring to a future course

  • If, after booking an education program you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your enrollment to the same education program to be held at a future date. 

  • This transfer is only valid to a education program held within 12 months of the original enrollment, unless ARITA has not offered the same education program in your location, or online, within that 12 month period. If ARITA has not offered the same education program within the 12 month period, the transfer will be valid to the next time that same education program is offered in your location or online.

  • If the request for a transfer is made, in writing, at least 7 days prior to the commencement of the education program, there is no additional cost.

  • If the request for a transfer is made within 7 days of the commencement of the education program, there is a fee of $200 for the IIP and $100 for Professional Standards courses and $50 for Essential skills courses (unless you have purchased an Essential Skills package where you must give at least 48 hours notice), which will need to be paid to arrange the transfer.

  • If you have purchased an Essential Skills package and you are unable to attend your allocated course time, you will be able to transfer to another Essential Skills course for the same topic, including an online course, without penalty as long as 48 hours notice of the change is given and there is available space in an alternative course.

  • If you have requested a transfer and then subsequently wish to cancel your registration, the cancellation policy that will apply will be determined based on the timing of your request for transfer from the initial course. For example, if you requested the transfer 20 days prior to the initial course and you subsequently cancel your registration, you will receive an 80% refund; if you requested the transfer 10 days prior to the course and you subsequently cancel your registration, you will not receive a refund.

  • These guidelines do not apply to registrations in the  ARITA Advanced Certification.

Refunds:

Any requests for cancellation must be in writing.

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the education program: 100% refund

  • Cancellation less than 30 days, but more than 14 days, before the education program: 80% refund

  • Cancellation less than 14 days before the education program: no refund

  • The above guidelines do not apply to registrations in the ARITA Advanced Certification or Essential Skills packages.

Essential skills package refund policy

If you have purchased an Essential Skills package and you are unable to attend, transfer to another course time or provide a substitute attendee, there is no refund of any part of the package fee.

IIP and ARITA Advanced Certification Student Membership refund policy

Please note that for the IIP and ARITA Advanced Certification there is a 

Compulsory Non-Refundable Student Membership for the Calendar Year. 

All students who have enrolled and paid for the IIP or  ARITA Advanced Certification become 'Student Members' of ARITA for the calendar year in which they undertake the course (unless they are already a member). This entitles students to full access of the resources on our website and all ARITA events at member rates. Read more on our membership page. This membership occurs on registration and the fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.




The effective date is the date that the course is scheduled to be held.  Please note the specific requirements in relation to the ARITA Advanced Certification below.

  

ARITA reserves the right to cancel any scheduled education programs due to an insufficient number of students registered for the education program. Where ARITA cancels a scheduled education program, students will have the option of transferring their registration to any rescheduled education program, or obtaining a full refund.

ARITA Advanced Certification Cancellation Policy

Participants need to refer to the ARITA Advanced Certification for the particular subject. This outlines withdrawal dates and penalties that apply specifically to the ARITA Advanced Certification subjects. There is also information on the process to be followed if you wish to withdraw from a subject.
