Based in
Brisbane, Kelly Trenfield is a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate
Finance & Restructuring segment at FTI Consulting. With 30 years’
experience — over 25 in corporate finance and restructuring — she specialises
in all facets of corporate and personal insolvency, including formal
appointments, turnaround, fraud investigations, and advisory work. Kelly has
led high-profile engagements across industries such as mining, property,
construction, and hospitality, and is known for her commercial, results-driven
approach to complex and distressed situations.
Kelly has
served on the ARITA Queensland Division Committee since 2016 and was Chair from
2019 to 2024. An ARITA Fellow since 2017, she joined the National Board in 2019
and became the Queensland representative in 2022. She was elected Vice
President in 2021. Kelly currently serves as Chair of the Finance, Risk and
Governance Committee and sits on the Professional Conduct and AFSA Liaison
Committees. She is a registered liquidator, bankruptcy trustee, Justice of the
Peace, and a long-time contributor to ARITA education, training and regulatory
engagement initiatives.
