Natasha Riach
is a Special Counsel at Maurice Blackburn and senior legal advisor to Claims
Funding Australia, its litigation funding arm. Based in Adelaide, she has over
25 years’ experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute
resolution and is recognised in Doyle’s Guide and Best Lawyers,
including as Adelaide’s 2022 ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for Insolvency and
Reorganisation. Natasha has deep expertise in insolvency litigation, including
public examinations, forensic investigations, insolvent trading, breaches of
director duties, voidable transactions and broader corporations law matters.
She previously held senior roles in both a national law firm and boutique
insolvency practice, advising on complex recoveries, security enforcement,
shareholder disputes and corporate fraud. In her current role, she provides
strategic litigation funding support to insolvency practitioners and other
claimants across Australia.
An ARITA
Fellow, Natasha has served on the SA/NT Division Committee since 2019 and was
Deputy Chair from 2020 to 2024. She joined the ARITA National Board in 2024 as
the SA/NT representative and currently sits on the Membership Committee and
Balance Committee (Diversity & Inclusion). Natasha is also a member of the
Law Council of Australia’s Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee.
