Based in Melbourne, Rachel Burdett is a Partner at
national business advisory firm Cor Cordis. Her career in insolvency began in
1988 and has included senior restructuring and risk roles in both chartered
accounting firms and the banking sector. During her time in banking, Rachel
focused on managing distressed and non-performing loans across a range of
industries nationwide, also serving as national credit risk leader and relief
chief risk officer. She became a Registered Liquidator in 2010 and has since
acted as receiver, administrator, deed administrator and liquidator, as well
as advisor to companies and directors needing stabilisation, solvency, and
restructuring guidance.
Rachel is a member and former Chair of the ARITA
Vic/Tas Committee. An ARITA Fellow, she was appointed to the National Board
in 2019, elected Vice President in 2020, Deputy President in 2021 and
President in 2023. She is now ARITA’s Immediate Past President and currently
sits on the Balance Committee (Diversity & Inclusion). Rachel is the
founding partner of the Cor Cordis Women’s Forum and the immediate past
President of the Southern Peninsula Community Centre, where she served for
five years and remains an active volunteer. She is also a member of WIRV,
AICD and the ASIC Insolvency Practitioners Liaison Committee for Victoria,
and has contributed to ARITA’s education programs.
