Advanced Insolvency is an elective subject in ARITA’s Advanced Certification.
This subject ensures a solid understanding of Australia’s formal insolvency regime for both corporates and individuals as well as building an understanding of the complicated issue of insolvency and trusts.
This subject will meet the specialist insolvency education requirements to become a registered liquidator or registered trustee.
This subject is offered in the second half of each year (session 2).
Fundamentals of Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround
- The context of corporate and personal insolvency
- Bankruptcy, Personal Insolvency Agreements and Debt Agreements
- Insolvency and trusts
- Problem-based assignment
- Online researched presentation
- Take home exam (compulsory pass component)
There will be self-review (non-assessable) quiz questions posted online though the course.
ARITA workshops (3)
- Submitted written answers
- Participation in workshops
- Marked written answers (if workshop not attended)
You must pass both the UTS component and ARITA workshops to pass the subject.

You should allow 10-12 hours per week to complete the course requirements. This subject runs for 12 weeks plus a one-week study break.
