Remuneration

Determining the appropriate remuneration for an insolvency appointment is a key concern of insolvency practitioners, regulators and creditors.

This course reviews the guidance provided by ARITA, regulators and the courts and considers key practical issues when seeking remuneration approval from creditors for corporate and personal insolvency appointments.

You will learn a framework which you’ll then apply in a practical exercise utilising a checklist provided.

The course materials, exercises and checklists have been updated for the 4th edition of the ARITA Code.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Explain and apply the legal, regulatory and ARITA Code requirements for remuneration approval.
  • Use the provided checklists to prepare clear, concise and compliant remuneration reports.

Prerequisites

We recommend you complete the Introduction to Insolvency Program, or have one year of on-the-job experience prior to attending this course.

Course format

A two-hour presentation covering the theory, plus at least one practical exercise to ensure understanding of the issues.
