WA Division Conference & Dinner

This year's WA Division Conference & Dinner will once again be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 23 August

The packed half-day conference will run from 2.30 - 6 pm and will be followed by excellent networking opportunities at the dinner with pre-dinner drinks from 6.15 pm and a sit-down three course meal.

Sessions include:

Paladin Energy: panel discussion on one of Australia’s most complex financial restructurings with insight into the attempts to restructure solvently, the complexities associated with that process and how the outcome was unlocked through voluntary administration.

Insolvency in the public eye: the importance of strategic communication - Banking and insolvency is under more public and media scrutiny than ever before,  A panel of industry experts will discuss the importance of effective communication to the media, public and stakeholders during an insolvency. 

Bankruptcy update: panel discussion featuring accountants, lawyers and AFSA on a range of current bankruptcy law and practice issues including assigning claims, 12 month discharge and realisation of assets.

ILRA: Almost a year on from the substantive commencement of the ILRA, this session will discuss the most commonly raised queries from members with an opportunity for practitioners to share their own insights and experiences.

Following the Conference, guests can network over pre-dinner drinks served from 6.15 pm, followed by a three-course meal and drinks. We are pleased to announce our guest speaker at the Dinner is Matt Hodgson, the former captain of the Western Force rugby team and now a business owner. Matt is ideally placed to provide his views on leadership in both sport and business, along with insights as to how the Western Force navigated a challenging period in its history and what the future holds for World Series Rugby.
