What you need to know from 1 April 2019
- the Government / ATO is continuing to get tough on compliance with the superannuation guarantee system - the recently passed changes may mean that wayward employers can get punished quite drastically for not abiding by their obligations, including jail time for serious contraventions.
- what are the other changes to the lockdown regime for SGC that further reduce the opportunity for possible exploitation by directors.
- changes to timing for ATO estimation of SGC and PAYG and narrowing of potential exploitation under the DPN regime.
