Transcript: President’s message

I wanted to personally reach out to all members as the year comes to an end.

This time of year is for so many, one of joy, happiness, family and community.

Members of our Jewish community were celebrating just that, when deliberately targeted, in what we now know was a planned terrorist attack at Bondi Beach on December 14th.

That heinous act took the lives of 15 innocents and shocked Australia.

It also spoke to the best of us. From the first responders and lifeguards who ran directly towards danger to those who were seriously injured, or ultimately gave their lives to save others.

There is no place for hate, for antisemitism, or violence in our community – and that begins by acknowledging that is exactly what occurred at Bondi on Sunday.

We are a better country, community and yes, organisation, for the diversity of thought, contribution and ideas we have.

ARITA stands by our members and friends in the insolvency and restructuring community who have been personally impacted by these senseless acts of violence.

Finally, on behalf of the Board I want to thank you for your commitment and support for ARITA throughout 2025; and wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy festive season, all the very best for the year ahead.
