ARITA welcomes Mel Jeremiah RITP as Professional Practice Director

ARITA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mel Jeremiah RITP as Professional Practice Director, commencing 4 May.
 

With a background in the analyses of legal and financial issues, Mel brings extensive insolvency experience to the role. She has a history of developing insolvency strategies for individuals and companies, is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, has sat on the ARITA Board, Vic/Tas Division Committee and Professional Conduct Committee, and advised practitioners, creditors, debtors and directors of companies in relation to informal workouts and formal insolvency appointments.

Based in Melbourne, Mel has worked across a range of large and small firms, and has also undertaken regulatory investigations in the financial services sector, working closely with clients and both national and international regulatory bodies.

Alongside ARITA's other Technical Directors, Mel will lead ARITA’s member complaints and disciplinary functions, oversee technical initiatives including law reform submissions, support the delivery of education programs and conferences, and provide technical and ethical guidance to members and stakeholders.
