ARITA Mental Health Working Group - Industry representative required

The latest ARITA Journal highlights the mental health challenges faced by insolvency practitioners and the work ARITA, AFSA, ASIC, ATO, PIPA and NAB are collectively undertaking as part of a Mental Health Working Group (MHWG).

We are seeking an industry representative to assist with the preparation of training materials and resources by Mental Health First Aid, who have been engaged by the MHWG to develop tailored resources for the profession.

The aim of the MHWG is to increase practitioners’ awareness of mental health issues and assist them in identifying appropriate avenues for referral.

We are seeking an industry representative to assist with the preparation of training materials and resources by Mental Health First Aid, who have been engaged by the MHWG to develop tailored resources for the profession. This firsthand input is vital to ensure the tools ‘meet the mark’ and it would be appreciated if you could assist us in identifying a representative (no need for them to be a registered practitioner) who has experience and/or an interest in the area of mental health, across both the corporate and personal insolvency spaces.

There would be between five to 10 hours of work required, with no need for a physical meeting to take place – it would all be done via email and telephone.

Please contact Narelle Ferrier (nferrier@arita.com.au) if you would like to participate in the MHWG as an Industry Representative.
