FEG Deed Poll Amended
At the request of the Department of Employment (DoE), ARITA has worked with it to finetune the Deed Poll, and in particular the indemnity, sought from practitioners in relation to FEG Verification Services.
The Deed Poll now seeks practitioners to agree "to indemnify the Commonwealth, its officers, employees and contractor against any liability, loss, damage, cost, compensation or expense arising out of or in any way connected with a default of this Deed, or any unlawful, wilful or negligent act or omission on the Liquidator’s part in connection with the Services the Liquidator supplies under this Deed".
While ARITA believes that the indemnity sought by the DoE is reasonable, it is up to individual practitioners to consider the requirements of the Deed Poll and make a determination on whether to enter the agreement.
Following feedback received from a number of members, ARITA has also provided the DoE with specific feedback in relation to its Initial and Recovery Questionnaires.
