John Melluish appointed as ARITA CEO

The Board of ARITA is pleased to announce that John Melluish has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.
John is well known to many ARITA members, as he is in the wider insolvency, restructuring and business community.
He is a respected insolvency practitioner with many years’ experience in personal and corporate insolvency, and is a Registered Liquidator and Trustee. John has a decade of serving as a Director of ARITA including as National President from 2005-2007.
He has a strong working relationship with regulators, corporate partners, and industry bodies along with a deep understanding of the insolvency and restructuring sector, be it personal or corporate matters.
John will transition into the role on 15 December 2025 and will reach out to ARITA members and the insolvency community in the New Year.
After some consideration, Jonathan Smithers has decided to move on from ARITA for personal and professional reasons and extends his very best to colleagues for the future.
The Board thanks Jonathan and wishes him well for the future.
