More inclusive voting for ARITA members
At our AGM last week, ARITA members voted to change our Constitution to ensure that all members are able to cast their votes directly for future Division Committee representatives and for any future changes to our Constitution.
This major improvement in our governance ensures all ARITA members have a direct say in important decisions and removes the need for proxy voting at most meetings. From now on, you will be asked to vote by a direct electronic (or postal) ballot. You can find our new Constitution and Regulations here.
As has already been shared, ARITA’s Board also remains committed to further governance improvements in how our Board is selected to ensure a representative and diverse Board with the skills necessary for the future challenges that face us. You can expect to hear more about this in the coming months before being asked to cast your own vote on accepting these changes under this new system.
