ARITA Code of Professional Practice Fourth Edition approved
The Fourth Edition of the ARITA Code of Professional Practice has now been approved by the ARITA Board with an effective date of 1 January 2020.
We have undertaken a comprehensive process, including extensive consultation with members and other stakeholders, to completely overhaul the Code. This not only ensures the ongoing relevance of the Code and the standards it sets for our members, but we have also:
- separated the Code into enforceable and guidance materials
- established a Code of Ethics that applies to all members
- expanded the Code to better cover the range of services our members provide beyond formal insolvency appointments.

If you haven’t already done so, it is essential that you take the time to familiarise yourself with the Fourth Edition of the Code. To assist in the transition process, we have provided a table that cross references the third and fourth editions.
The Fourth Edition of the Code is accompanied by a series of new templates which appear in the relevant Practice Statements. MS Word versions of these templates are available to members.
