Effectively managing employee issues in insolvency

A panel of senior Lavan lawyers, Alison Robertson, Charmaine Tsang and Carmen Boothman, together with Heather Millar of Francis Burt Chambers, will navigate the nuances of employee issues arising in external administration.  

The interactive discussion will consider common but often delicate legal and operational issues arising in relation to employees, including: 

  • the interaction between employment law and the Australian insolvency regime;

  • stakeholder management, including trade unions, the Commonwealth Government in relation to the FEG scheme and employees (be they dismissed, retained or just plain disgruntled); and

  • recent case law developments in this space.
