Freezing orders in insolvencies
How did the Palmer millions get so cold?
Using successful and unsuccessful applications in Parbery v Palmer as a case study, Barrister Martin Taylor of McPherson Chambers, will review the use of freezing orders in insolvency recovery actions.
He will consider relief under the general law and s 1323 of the Corporations Act, ASIC and liquidator applications, and practical outcomes in everyday cases.
