Accepting and retaining an appointment as an external administrator: a deep dive into the murky waters of independence
ARITA’s Code of Professional Practice states that in the context of accepting and retaining an appointment, an external administrator must be independent in fact and be seen or perceived to be independent.
Scott Guthrie, Dentons, will consider some of the murkier issues which arise, what the Courts have recently had to say about these matters, and provide some guidance to practitioners when confronted with allegations of lack of independence.
This session is broadcasting live from Brisbane. Attendees will be able to see and hear the presentation live, and ask questions from their location in Cairns.
