Going bust with Bitcoin: Why blockchain matters for IPs
Blockchain technology is poised to change the world. With the flood of funds into the space through Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in 2017 and 2018 it is only a matter of time before insolvency professionals start dealing with bankruptcies and liquidations involving cryptocurrency assets.
Michael Bacina of Piper Alderman, Partner in the Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Group, acts for companies offering token sales, running ICOs or looking to deploy distributed ledger technology in their business.
Michael will discuss how blockchain technology works, highlight the insolvency matters and disputes reported to date involving cryptocurrency, and answer questions about regulation and this exciting new field of technology.
