Legal Update: Key Findings of the Banking Royal Commission

On 4 February 2019, Parliament tabled the final report of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. We are all aware of the highlights of the Royal Commission and the public condemnation that has resulted, but what of the finer details that have not made the headlines?

Commissioner Hayne's Report looks to address the questions of 'Why did this conduct occur?' and 'What can be done to avoid it happening again?', with particular reference to banks, loan intermediaries and financial advice.

Lewis Gentry, Special Counsel from Finlaysons, will explore the key findings of the Report.
