Elective unit of the 11319NAT Graduate Diploma of Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to lead the development of financial strategy for an organisation or work area. It covers the use and interpretation of financial information to support business decision making, analysis and enterprise planning. The unit includes the forecasting of future financial requirements and development of business targets in compliance with financial projections.

Entry Requirements

Essential entry requirements

Applicants must:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business and/or Law AND
  • Be skilled workers in the field of Accounting, Business and/or Law AND
  • Currently employed in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround industry.

Recommended entry requirements

  •  As a minimum, language, literacy and numeracy skills must be equivalent to Level 5 of the Australian Core Skill Framework.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the insolvency industry
  • Completed relevant training in insolvency such as, but not limited to, the ARITA Introduction to Insolvency Program or Essential Skills Courses.

Limitations to entry

This course covers detailed and complex legislation. It requires students who have sufficient maturity and work/life experience to analyse complex financial documentation and undertake financial and legal analysis. A high level of language, literacy and numeracy is required.

Assessment

Skills in this unit must be demonstrated in a simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry.

This includes access to:

  • Samples of workplace financial documentation, including contractual and procurement policies.
  • Financial data and documentation.
